Whatever your troubles, you will forget them at the Cabaret when the Master of Ceremonies sings, "Wilkommen! Bienvenue! Welcome!" and the people of 1930's Berlin join him. Sally Bowles, a middle-class lass from Chelsea, London, is working as a singer at Berlin’s Kit-Kat Club and trying her best to live that thrillingly decadent life the city is supposed to offer.
As others see the dark clouds of the Weimar Republic gathering, Sally will not or cannot hear the echoes of Nazism around her.
